California regulators
You may also contact the California Department of Real Estate and the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation using the public consumer complaint paths those agencies publish. License numbers are on the licensing page.
NMLS Consumer Access remains the national lookup.
Texas Recovery Fund notice
The Texas Recovery Fund exists to reimburse certain consumers who obtain a court order against a residential mortgage loan originator for violations of Texas Finance Code Chapter 180 or 156, within statutory limits and eligibility rules. This paragraph is a notice that the Fund exists. It is not a promise that every complaint is payable from the Fund. Current instructions live on the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending consumer pages. Confirm those instructions at the regulator, not from memory.
If your loan is a Texas property, say so in the first sentence of your complaint so it is routed correctly.
Other licensed states
Arizona, Colorado, and Florida consumers may use those states' mortgage regulator complaint portals. Search the official state regulator for 'mortgage complaint' and include our NMLS 339255.
Fair lending and Equal Housing Opportunity apply. Discrimination complaints may also be directed to HUD using HUD's published complaint process.
